Dr. Smock's Bio

Dr. Andrew Smock received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Maryland. Dr. Smock then joined “The Gator Nation”, completing his Internship, Residency, and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Florida.

Dr. Smock is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a specialty certificate in Cardiovascular Disease. He also holds a certificate for Special Competency in Cardiac Pacing & Cardioversion Defibrillation and is certified in both echocardiography and nuclear medicine. He has served as Clinical Assistant Professor in Medicine at the University of Florida, and maintains numerous professional memberships and affiliations.

Dr. Smock joined The Cardiac & Vascular Institute in 2000. His clinical interests include nutrition and wellness, and device implantation. Dr. Smock enjoys spending his time away from work with his family and in the great outdoors.
