Dr. Jansen's Bio

Michael Jansen, M.D., true Gator through and through, received both his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Florida, where also he swam for the UF Men’s Swim team. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine training at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Jewish Hospital. Dr. Jansen rejoined “The Gator Nation” completing both his Cardiology Fellowship and Electrophysiology Fellowship training at the University of Florida.

Having served as UF’s Cardiovascular Medicine’s Chief Fellow. Dr. Jansen joined The Cardiac & Vascular Institute in 2016 specializing in Electrophysiology, Atrial Fibrillation and Cardiovascular Diseases.

In addition to his many publications, in 2000, seven-time NCAA Swimming All American Dr. Jansen, was a United States Swimming Olympic Trials Semi-Finalist in the 200-meter backstroke. In his leisure time, Dr. Jansen enjoys spending time with his family and watching UF Gator’s sports.
