HEALTHCARE IN THE CONVENIENCE OF YOUR HOME – TCAVI TELEHEALTH
The Cardiac & Vascular Institute is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and employees. With the national concern over the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is possible that Florida residents will be asked to stay at home unless you have to go to the supermarket, drug store or healthcare facility.
With this in mind and in order to ensure that you do not miss a needed office visit, The Cardiac and Vascular Institute is now set up to provide telehealth appointments. What is Telehealth? Telehealth is the use of telephone and mobile devices to access health care services remotely in the convenience of your home. Established patients are welcomed and encouraged to utilize telehealth medicine using their smartphone.
In an effort to protect everyone’s health, when scheduling an appointment, you may be asked if you would be interested in a telehealth appointment. You will also be asked COVID-19 screening questions.
If you have had close contact with a person who is awaiting test COVID-19 test results, confirmed COVID-19 patient within 14 days, traveled outside of Florida within 14 days or have fever or flu like symptoms now or within the last 7 days please call our office regarding your appointment.
If you do come to a TCAVI office for your visit, please understand your experience may look or feel different than normal as we continue to implement protocols to ensure everyone’s safety.
- At this time, we are limiting patients to one visitor/companion per visit.
- You will be greeted by a screener outside the TCAVI building entrance to prescreen you with questions related to COVID-19.
- If you are unable to be seen for any reason we will call you to reschedule your appointment.
- If you are cleared to be seen in the office, we will see you for your regularly scheduled visit inside.
We are very carefully monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and referring to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), government agencies, and local health officials for guidance and recommendations in this difficult situation. For updates and information regarding our TCAVI offices, please visit our website www.TCAVI.com.
The well-being of our employees and patients is our first priority. If you have any questions, we request you please ask when an employee from The Cardiac and Vascular Institute calls you.
